Natural bowls include any bowl made from a tree limb or tree
trunk without any pre-processing. I like to turn natural bowls while they
are still green, or wet, for a couple of reasons. First off, a green blank
is easier and more fun to turn, and easier on the tools. Second, I don't have to wait
eight months or more to complete the piece by allowing it to dry after rough
turning. And third, I think that allowing the bowl to warp a little bit
naturally after turning it gives it some added character.
Below are some of the pieces I've turned. Click on the

Prices for natural bowls depend on size, complexity, and the type of wood. More heavily
spalted or figured woods require more time and attention to detail.
